Hi fellow developers.

I’m from Portugal and I’m still trying to understand what exactly I’m doing here.
I confess that I saw the add, clicked and saw a community of devs and said… Why not?

I’ve been work as a developer since 2005, started working for traditional banking system, worked for several national and international Banks and in the last 4 years I’ve been more dedicated working for a major international financial bank.
Mostly as Analayst/developer in a transversal core system for financial markets.
I’m also always interested in new tech approaches, specially when it comes to blockchain and smart contracts and all this new emerging payments and transactional systems.

Still, in the time I will do my looks around here and wish gl to all!

Hi @a_shokn,
Welcome to the Rapyd developer community! Hope to see you here as an active member.
Your Facebook clone project seems very interesting. If fine by you, then please share the insights you learned from this project and/or any coding advice that you’d like to share.

Thank You for your Warm Welcome @Legato . Facebook Clone was a project that I had built 4 years back I had zero knowledge about the frameworks (Made in Pure Php, HTML, CSS, and JS) In general. The one vital thing I have learned through this project was to build features part by part and unit test them to ensure all work in sync. Currently, I am into writing blogs on the current stack I work upon and building a pet project for sneaker designers https://subjective-beta.web.app/

The fact that you did not use any framework in your project probably made things much harder, but on the other hand, I am sure that you learned much more via this method of work. Unit testing is definitely great advice!
The designer site that you linked to is very cool. Please keep us posted on your progress with the project for sneaker designers.

Hi There.
My name is Mai, I am a software engineer from Israel, and I am very passionate about my work. I am currently working on a couple of personal projects, including a mobile app and some encoding library.
To be completely honest, I am participating mostly for the challenge. I find (relatively) short programming challenges very entertaining.
A fun fact about me, I am very into futuristic tech like VR, and I am looking forward to have my impact on it in the future.

Here’s my GitHub.

Hey @Prettylilmess, we’re glad to have you here.

You can start with the following:

  1. If you are a developer or want to contribute to a team (design, develop use cases, etc.) Join our current virtual hackathon - we will also have more hackathons later in the year!
  • Tell us a little more about yourself - are you a developer? What do you like to do? Are you planning on joining the hackathon?
  1. Play puzzles to win prizes - follow each drop to solve and submit the solution to increase your changes.
  • A pro-tip for the puzzles I’ve been sharing is to look at the print version too!
