# Why Country is a required field when generating hosted checkout?

I noticed that country is a required field. For Saas products seams like country is not always natural to ask. I just want to allow user to pick a plan and send them to checkout page.

In case there is no choise rather then asking for the country, then why can’t it be part of the hosted checkout, just “select your country” dropdown on top.
