Global Entry is a pre-approval program that provides **expedited security screening benefits for flights departing from U.S. Airports**.

This may not apply to you, but if you travel to and from the US to other countries, this will save you time at US international airpots.

I just applied for this, and was able to do a walk-in appointment when returning to the US from Berlin. Now security lines are a breeze without the hassle of taking off shoes, taking off electronics, full security scan, etc.

## Eligibility:

Global Entry is available to U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents and citizens of the following countries.

- [Citizens of Argentina](https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/international-arrangements/argentina)
- [Citizens of Brazil](https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/international-arrangements/global-entry-citizens-brazil)
- [Citizens of India](https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/international-arrangements/global-entry-indian-citizens)
- [Citizens of Colombia](https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/international-arrangements/colombian-citizens)
- [Citizens of United Kingdom](https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/international-arrangements/registered-traveller/citizens-united-kingdom)

- [Citizens of The Netherlands](https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/international-arrangements/netherlands)
- [Citizens of Panama](https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/international-arrangements/panama/panamanian-citizens)

- [Mexican nationals](https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/international-arrangements/mexico/mexican-nationals)

If you are eligible from any of the countries, you an follow the steps:

1. [Apply here](https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/how-apply) and pay $100 USD application fee.
  - For **U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals and lawful permanent residents** , this includes approval and use of TSA PreCheck for US domestic flights.

2. [Schedule an appointment](https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/enrollment-centers) at a US Enrollment Center or a couple other locations, Guam or Qatar.

OR

You can just do an [on-arrival appointment](https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/enrollment-arrival) next time you fly internationally into these locations.

- Be sure to bring your passport and one other form of identification card to your appointment.

That’s it! This will be an annual fee of $100 USD but last for five years.

Again, this also automatically includes TSA-PreCheck which is for US citizens and residents.

Also wondering if there are versions of Global Entry from others countries. I found [this article](https://www.cntraveler.com/story/how-to-get-through-european-customs-quickly#:~:text=But%20there%20are%20limits%20to,any%20country%20around%20the%20world.), which mentions:

- **Germany** : [EasyPASS](https://www.easypass.de/EasyPass/EN/What_is_EasyPASS/home_node.html)
- **United Kingdom** : [Registered Traveller Program](https://www.gov.uk/registered-traveller)
- **The Netherlands** : [Privium/FLUX](https://www.schiphol.nl/en/privium/)

Are there other programs that you know of from other countries?
