# Error\_card\_not\_authenticated

I have added a card under customer from this api

[https://sandboxapi.rapyd.net/v1/customers/customer\_id/payment\_methods](https://sandboxapi.rapyd.net/v1/customers/customer_id/payment_methods)

{  
“type”: “us\_atmdebit\_card”,  
“fields”: {  
“number”: “4242424242424242”,  
“expiration\_month”: “10”,  
“expiration\_year”: “25”,  
“cvv”: “123”,  
“name”: “John Doe”  
},  
“metadata”: {  
“merchant\_defined”: true  
}  
}

and make this card as default.

but when i am making payment using this api:

[https://sandboxapi.rapyd.net/v1/payments](https://sandboxapi.rapyd.net/v1/payments)  
{  
“amount”: 30,  
“currency”: “USD”,  
“customer”: customer\_id,  
“capture”: true  
}

it gives me ERROR\_CARD\_NOT\_AUTHENTICATED error.
